We are happy to announce that we've come to a decision on our contest themes! Here they are:
Alternate Universe
Character Spotlight: Femio
Expanding Canon
With that, our first contest, AU, has begun! This contest is for both artists and writers who would like to see our beloved Princess Tutu characters in an alternate universe or setting! You have until the end of May to get your entries in! Please see the countdown for official rules.
As for prizes, we are considering some changes. Unfortunately, the funds are low and we can no longer offer points. One option would be to stop giving out prizes entirely, but our other option is this: we're asking members like YOU to please consider donating art requests, points, or journal features as prizes. If you would like to contribute, please send a private note to the club admin. Thoughts and feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.
FreelyAnd they lived happily ever after.
When he thought back to the day his story ended and he was told to live, Siegfried remembered that he had never been given any "happily ever after." The words of the young and hopeful writer who had ended the story had been to live freely.
To live freely ever after. To suffer, because there was still pain, and to heal, because of love, itself given freely.
If the remnants of corruption had simply been buried, as easily covered by those final words as a grave concealed by dirt, the prince wondered if that poison would have wormed into deeper roots behind their smiles.
But as he dried his princess' tears when they came, and as she showed him, when his brow furrowed with doubts, that shadows could hold just as much beauty as pure light, he knew that he would never have wanted a happily ever after. As monarchs and as tenderhearted lovers, he and his princess made their own joy.
Please SmileDisclaimer: I don't own these guys. Be glad that I don't.

When Ahiru had first met the mysterious prince, it felt like a dream. Perhaps it really had been a dream or it had merely been their imagination.
Whatever the feeling was, it had been magical. It had suffocated them in an overwhelming sensation that had allured them both to a tragic demise that had been plotted out just for them.
Their only little melancholy ending that might've had a possibility of taking place if she hadn't seen the sadness in his eyes. Those sad, sad eyes that always seem so lonely.
On more than one occasion Ahiru found herself dwelling on those eyes.
It was those eyes that motivated her to save him, to save Prince Mytho, without even knowing what exactly he needed saving from. All she was aware of was that she needed to protect him from anything that should harm his wellbeing.
At least, that was how it all started off. Somewhere
